Towards the Stump

A beautiful hand-carved and hand-printed linocut print on British Somerset cotton paper.  Mounted ready to be framed.

Inspiration

Looking from the Town Bridge down the river Witham towards St. Botolphs church (well known as Boston Stump).  Such an iconic view of Boston, Lincolnshire, so much history and I wanted to capture my love for it through this design.  It was lovely to include the old Batemans brewery lettering too.

How it's made

'Towards the Stump' started as a rough sketch then a finessed hand drawn design that I transferred onto a lino plate.  I hand-carved the plate before mixing my ink and printing each linocut by hand.

Linocut size 21 cm x 21 cm

Mounted to fit a 30 cm x 30 cm frame (ready made frames are available in this size)

Titled and signed in pencil by Joanna Pass

Each print is mounted with a conservation quality mount, backed with acid free paper and wrapped in cellophane.

Don't forget it's an original print, not a digital reproduction.

I currently only sell to the UK.  The price includes free tracked and insured postage to any UK address.
