A beautiful hand-carved and hand-printed linocut print on Zerkall extra smooth paper.  Mounted ready to be framed.

Inspiration

One Sunday we cruised down the river Witham from Boston, Lincolnshire on beautiful wooden boat built in 1949.  The herons we passed, patiently staring into the water, inspired this linocut. 

How it's made

The Watcher started as a rough sketch then a finessed hand drawn design that I transferred onto a lino plate.  I hand-carved the plate before mixing my ink and printing each linocut by hand.

Linocut size 17 cm x 17 cm

Mounted to fit a 30 cm x 30 cm frame (ready made frames are available in this size)

Titled and signed in pencil by Joanna Pass

Each print is mounted with a conservation quality mount, backed with acid free paper and wrapped in cellophane.
